Hyaluronic Acid was discovered

It’s now 14 years since Hyaluronic Acid was discovered in a village called Yuzuri in Tokyo, now known as the Village of Long Life. Why you may ask? Well, it is because these villagers live in a hilly region of Tokyo which leaves them with no choice but to live from foods, such as sticky root vegetables, unlike the rest of Japan who live from rice cultivation. This was a good thing for these villlagers as these type of sticky root vegetables, stimulate the production of hyaluronic acid, which gives these villagers, not only longevity of life, but many in their late eighties don’t suffer from arthritis, few wear reading glasses and they all display healthy and younger looking skin!

Now in our western world we can supplement with this wonderful substance hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in human’s, which unfortunately depletes as we age! Backed by many clinical studies, hyaluronic acid is a supplement now known to help lubricate our joints, hydrate our skin and promote healthy eyes. You can read more about this on our ‘The Story of HA’ page.
